Eswatini Theatre Club is seeking two motivated junior team members to support our arts programming and communications work over 14 months. These are entry-level, part-time, fixed-term roles for Eswatini residents with a strong interest in the cultural and creative industries.
Part-time Events & Programme Coordinator (16 hours/week)
Key Tasks
- Support planning and smooth running of activities (front-of-house, guest lists, artists, basic logistics).
- Welcome and assist artists, speakers, facilitators, and participants; help with simple admin.
- Coordinate basic event logistics and communicate technical needs to event technicians.
- Assist with audience development activities and event documentation (photos, attendance, feedback).
Profile
- This is an entry-level role suitable for candidates with little or no prior work experience.
- Seeking to pursue a career in arts administration, as an artist, or in the wider cultural and creative industries.
- Be under 30 years old with basic computer skills (email, Word, Excel/Sheets).
- Team player, proactive, able to work flexible hours (some evenings/weekends for events).
- Preference will be given to residents of Mbabane.
Part-time Social Media & Communications Officer (16 hours/week)
Key Tasks
- Create and schedule content across social media channels.
- Shoot/edit photos and short videos at rehearsals, performances, and events; write captions and short copy.
- Basic multimedia editing and copywriting skills.
- Community management across social media channels, support audience growth, and prepare simple monthly social media reports.
- Assist with newsletters, basic website updates, and event documentation for communications use.
Qualification
- This is an entry-level role suitable for candidates with little or no prior work experience.
- Seeking to pursue a career in arts administration, as an artist, or in the wider cultural and creative industries.
- Be under 30 years of age, comfortable with social platforms and basic design/video tools (e.g., Canva, CapCut).
- Good writing skills, organised, proactive; willing to work some evenings/weekends to cover events.
- Preference will be given to residents of Mbabane.
